Akku is not charging although adapter is recognized (it shows in the status); I checked cable and swiched sockets.

@MaDe69, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP ENVY x360 - 15-ds0155ng!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I know how frustrating it can be when your laptop’s plugged in but the battery just won’t play along.

Since your adapter is recognized, we can rule out a total connection failure. Sometimes, the battery just needs a little nudge to start behaving. Try this:

Power Reset:

Shut down your laptop.

Unplug the charger and remove the battery (if removable).

Press and hold the power button for about 15–20 seconds.

Reinsert the battery and plug the charger back in. Turn it on and check if it starts charging.

Battery Drivers Refresh:

Press Windows + X → Device Manager.

Expand Batteries, right-click both Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, and hit Uninstall.

Restart your system — Windows will reinstall them fresh.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
