I have a Poly Savi model 8220 that "mutates" itself with every call. What could be wrong?

Hi @Carnis, Welcome to Poly HP Support Community.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your Savi 8220 headset. I understand how important it is to have your headset working reliably. I recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check for and install any available firmware updates using the Poly Lens application on your PC.
  2. Make sure the Savi 8220 is set as the default audio device on both your PC and your softphone.
  3. If you're using a Windows PC, please go to Device Manager, uninstall the Savi 8220 drivers, and then restart both your PC and the headset. After restarting, reconnect the headset and test it again.

If the issue still persists, I recommend contacting HP Support. One of our support engineers will be happy to assist you further and work toward a resolution.
